The Hansjorg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Health pioneered craniofacial distraction over 30 years ago. Over that time there have been several innovations in craniofacial distraction and the time is ripe for a robust intellectual exchange regarding the indications and long-term outcomes of care. This two-day CME accredited course will feature the international leaders in craniofacial distraction and craniomaxillofacial reconstruction who will present long-term treatment protocols. The curriculum will be organized by condition to facilitate a comparison of both distraction and non-distraction techniques in order to elucidate indications of intervention. It has been well over 10 years since a comprehensive course on craniofacial distraction has been hosted and we expect this educational course to be a unique and contributory event to the field of facial reconstruction.
